Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results. Other forms of search engine marketing (SEM) target paid listings. In general, the earlier (or higher on the page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.
As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content and HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.
The acronym "SEO" can refer to "search engine optimizers," a term adopted by an industry of consultants who carry out optimization projects on behalf of clients, and by employees who perform SEO services in-house. Search engine optimizers may offer SEO as a stand-alone service or as a part of a broader marketing campaign. Because effective SEO may require changes to the HTML source code of a site, SEO tactics may be incorporated into web site development and design. The term "search engine friendly" may be used to describe web site designs, menus, content management systems, images, videos, shopping carts, and other elements that have been optimized for the purpose of search engine exposure.
Another class of techniques, known as black hat SEO or spamdexing, uses methods such as link farms, keyword stuffing and article spinning that degrade both the relevance of search results and the user-experience of search engines. Search engines look for sites that employ these techniques in order to remove them from their indices.
My Life Hack Philosophy
I saw a trackback to my post, Bank Robbery, which talks about ways in which time gets frittered away, never to be recovered. The response was kind of interesting, especially when you take into Grande",Helvetica,Arial,Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: 400; position: static;">account the tags of “pathologies” and “ocd.” It’s caused me to give some consideration to what the whole life hacking thing means to me (so thanks, Soda Water!), and as such, I thought I’d share. The goal, as with everything, is to get discussion going and see what people think, and how they relate as well.

When I settle in to write a Life Hack post, I aim for things that help me use time better, improve my life, navigate tricky situations, or remind me to appreciate life. I have three methods for writing posts: one is to surf news feeds and other sites, which is how I find out about software that might prove helpful. The second is to receive tips from people (and you guys are great at sharing by sending mail to tips at lifehack.org). Finally, I write about things that either bit my ass, bug me so bad that I have to write about them, or that I’ve experienced and think you might find helpful for your own life.
Those third ones, where it comes from my gut, are the ones I love the most, because I can at least claim that I’ve had positive results from that.
The meat of life hacking, to me, is any tip or thought that I take away from this site and find ways to apply to my life repeatably.
A La Carte (or as the French say, “Just take something and move on!”)
If someone is actively using all the advice on this site, I feel for you. You are either the most advanced life form in the world, or you’ve got plenty of extra cycles in your head to determine how this stuff should all fit together. I imagine folks are more like me: you get the RSS feed, stream along, find something that whets your mental whistle, and you try it out. You read it, think about it, write about it, and then decide if you can really make it fit into your day. Maybe we’re hitting 1 for 7 with you. Maybe better or worse, depending on your needs.

From trackbacks, I’m always surprised who references stuff from Lifehack.org. You probably can guess that geeks and techies like us. Well, sure! Project managers and productivity experts read our stuff. But we’re also getting plenty of trackback love from religious groups (of lots of variety), from parents spilling over from the Parent Hacks crowd (podcast tonight or tomorrow features Asha Dornfest, founder of Parent Hacks, by the way).
Who are you? Why do you read it?
Value Chain Disaggregation
Thomas Friedman talks about “value chain disaggregation” in THE WORLD IS FLAT. (I’ve written about it based on his book, too.) The premise is that one must distill the core essence of the value he or she brings to a situation (or role, or product, or family) and then find ways to “farm out” the parts that aren’t the most important. In a way, it’s like Covey’s “What Matters Most” philosophy. Habit 2. To me, life hacking is a lot about finding ways to get the bull—- out of my life so I have more time to enjoy the best parts.
If I’m fierce with my time management, it means I’ll have more time to enjoy other aspects of my life. Time not wasted means I can then have more time to spend with my kids, my wife, or my personal projects (most of which eat lots of time to stay upright). So, on one side being picky and anal means having more time to do what matters most to me. Make sense?
Make it Easy
Finally, I prefer “easy” to difficult. I like WriteBoard over MS Word. I like Macs over Windows. Why? Because I just like things to work and then I want to do my own thing over them. I just read a hack at Lifehacker for adding tennis balls to sharp corners in one’s house when one has toddlers around. That’s so easy and yet, it would save me the issues my son will soon be facing. See? Easy.
Another easy thing I somehow never learned: on Windows, on a 3-button mouse, clicking the scroll wheel (which makes web browsing so easy, by the way), I can open links in new tabs under Firefox. Click the tab with the same wheel? I can close the tab. Easy. But I never knew until I read it as part of a post on a life hacking site. Saving the planet? Hardly. But it sure makes surfing nicer.
Lots of what we cover here at Lifehack.org hopefully makes it easier to live your life in one way or another. It might just be a software application we think will get your stuff in order. It might be a post about giving presentations, or how to negotiate a raise, or how to better pack the car for a vacation. Whatever the case, we’re trying to make it easier to live your life.
Your Platform
I participated in July4US yesterday. It was a celebration of the new media versus older mainstream media. Blogs, podcasts, videocasts, that kind of thing. Lifehack.org qualifies. What I found through my experience in the event was this: what I love most about participating in the new media is that it’s a conversation instead of a bullhorn. The audience is every bit as welcome to participate as the publishers. It’s the kind of thing where people can contribute and FEEL their contributions come back to them, closing the loop.
Leon has a wiki. He has comments turned on. He has a message board. You couldn’t be in much more contact than that. He’s built Lifehack.org with the audience (that’s YOU) to be first and foremost in everything he does. Believe me. When I approached him with wanting to do a podcast, the first thing he asked about (and the only thing he ever questions) is how the audience will participate, how it will blend with the reader experience, etc.
Sure, I’m flag waiving here. But I think this is every bit as much my life hack philosophy, because I use YOUR tips and ideas in my day as well. Most of you who comment have found out (sometimes to your surprise) that if you leave a valid email address in your comment, I’ll usually reply with a personal note. I’m not doing this to drum up business. I’m doing this often to thank people for their participation in Lifehack.org. Without you, there is no reason to do this.
I think I’ll hop off the soapbox now, and give you a chance to weigh in. Talk, if you would in the comments section, about YOUR experience and your philosophy. I’d like to listen.

Hacking Is My Life

I’m not comparing apples to oranges, so there’s no Firefox 3.5 in this comparison, as its still in beta. I’ll update this post as soon as Firefox 3.5 goes final and I’ve had a chance to use it for a while
So, without further ado, here we go!
I’ve always been an avid Firefox user, all the way back to when it was still called “Phoenix”, I was a Firefox user. Before that, I used Netscape almost exclusively (back when I was young and did not know the wonders of Linux), in essence, I’ve avoided Internet Explorer for a long time now. However, IE isn’t available in Linux, so I wanted to perform my tests (both quantitative and qualitative) in the same environment. All the tests and browsing were done on a brand new Sony Vaio FW laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 w/ SP1.
Before I get to the personal impressions, here are your standard test results that concern numbers and the like, both browsers were fresh installs, and all private data was cleared before each test. For the cold start test, I restarted the computer, and bookmarked 5 websites (google.com, yahoo.com, live.com, espn.com and ign.com) that I had saved locally and set this as the homepages for each browser. Then, I measured the amount of time it took from the instant I clicked the shortcut to the time when every webpage reported itself as “Done.” For the warm start, I did the same thing, but I measured the time it took for the fifth time I started the browser after a restart. All commonly used plugins (Flash, Silverlight, and Java VM) were installed ahead of time. All tests were done 5 times (except for the cold start, as I did not want to restart 5 times) and averaged.
As we can see, Internet Explorer opens quickly, but once you actually getting around to browsing actual websites, at least according to these tests, it fails tremendously compared to Firefox (even Internet Explorer 7 got further than Internet Explorer 8 on Acid 3). Mozilla’s Gecko engine takes a commanding triumph over Microsoft’s Trident engine in this war, although Firefox’s XUL interface could use some further performance tweaks, but I guess that’s the tradeoff for cross platform compatibility.
However, in real world web surfing, Internet Explorer felt faster than Firefox. I attribute this to the difference in how IE and Firefox render pages, but just to make sure, I installed Fasterfox Lite (please note that this addon is still experimental, which means that it may not be safe for every day use) in Firefox, and sure enough, IE still felt faster, even though timing the actual load times proved that Firefox was faster at actually loading the pages. I’m not sure what causes this, maybe its the satisfying “Click” you hear in IE when you click on a link.
Things I like about Internet Explorer 8 (bolded are the things I REALLY like):
After being a Firefox user for a long time (I did have about 2 weeks when I randomly decided that Microsoft was my hero, and I didn’t use anything but Microsoft products, that experience has scarred me forever), I was pleasantly surprised by how far Internet Explorer 8 has come, and I can’t wait for Microsoft to push out the automatic update for it. To those people who haven’t heard of Firefox, please try it! But if you’re stuck with Internet Explorer, or are scared to try new things, Internet Explorer 8 certainly isn’t a bad choice either.
The browser I’ll be using for the rest of today and like, ever?
Note: I have purposely ignored Chrome, Opera and Safari as Firefox and Internet Explorer are the top choices for most users out there. Whether you’re on Mac, Linux or PC, Firefox should be your number 1 choice for internet browsing. Think otherwise? Chrome lover (Matt! I’m looking at you!), Opera junkie? Other browsers? Any Lynx users out there? Konquerer? Tell me about it in the comments!
Edit: Just a quick fyi, this screenshot doesn’t represent a test or anything, but this is what IE’s RAM usage looked like after about 2 hours of normal web browsing with only Xmarks being the only addon installed. That’s almost 800 MB of RAM just to IE folks. That’s crazy…

Things I like about Internet Explorer 8 (bolded are the things I REALLY like):
- Quick startup
- Pleasantly attractive interface (available with Firefox themes, even one that is designed to look like IE)
- Impressive search suggestions in search box (Firefox doesn’t support this)
- Draggable bookmark folders on the bookmark toolbar (Firefox can’t do this)
- InPrivate Mode (which actually blocks banner ads as well) (Firefox users can install Adblock Plus and Stealther). I STILL CAN’T FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THIS OFF WITHOUT CLOSING ALL OF MY BROWSING WINDOWS!!
- Every website on the planet is written for it (at least in Compatibility Mode anyway) (Firefox can render just about every site, except those that implement ActiveX, which only IE supports)
- Colored Tab Grouping (Firefox can’t do this, although there is an addon for it, it doesn’t work very well or at all)
- Snappy webpage loading
- Efficient use of screen real estate (Firefox users can install Personal Menu to hide the menubar)
- Crash restore for individual tabs
- Nice “New Tab” page (Firefox users can install Fast Dial or Google Toolbar to get Opera’s and Chrome’s new tab page respectively, but it doesn’t support one like Internet Explorer’s)
- Add-ons like Adblock Plus (which I personally don’t recommend, but it is quite nice), Personas, Shareaholic, GreaseMonkey and many many others. (IE users can install IEPro, which offers many additional features for IE)
- Fast, smooth web surfing
- Open source development philosophy
- Better RSS feed management
- Built in download manager
- Custom searches
- Cross platform compatibility
- Low RAM usage

Gunakanlah DNS AWARI, DNS AWARI ini membuat internet lebih aman dan sekaligus mempercepat akses internet juga. Server DNS AWARI ini memblokir beberapa situs yang kurang bermanfaat / berisi content negatif, meski belum semua akses ke website porno diblokir ole Filter DNS tersebut.

Setelah DNS sudah dirubah perlu ditambahkan lagi Filternya yaitu dengan menggunakan Proxy ARAB SAUDI, Proxy Arab ini menerapkan filtering yang cukup ketat dan terus terupdate data base nya. Proxy ARAB SAUDI ini akan memblokir situs yang terdeteksi mengandung content pornografi, Hacking, Exploit, pishing dan Virus dan lain sebagainya.

Dengan huruf l (-l (el) ), maka, ukuran default buffer yang anda kirimkan adalah sebesar 32 bytes bisa diubah. dalam aksi hacking, apabila seseorang menggunakan nilai buffer yang sangat bueeesar sekali ( Seperti User YogyaFree ) tentu hal ini akan sangan berbahaya sekali, tentu hal ini akan sangat berbahaya pada komputer yang spesifikasinya rendah ( Seperti komputer pentium 2 ) terutama dalam sebuah jaringan. Efeknya akan langsung terlihat dan bekerja, yang berupa komputer atau website target bisa menjadi Hang.
Penulisannya adalah dengan mengetikan data ini didalam CMD atau DOS :
Ping -l ip-address/domain-target <besar-buffer>
sebagai contoh untuk domain target :
Ping -l blabla.com 100000
Contoh untuk domain IP address target :
Ping -l 123.456.78.9 100000
Proses ini akan mengirimkan data sebesar 100000 paket data ke target. Dimana hal ini lebih tinggi dibandingkan kapasitas TCP/IP Google yang hanya sebesar 90000 ( Contoh aja Gan ).
Perintah kedua yang digunakan dalam aksi DDoS ini adalah opsi -t. Penulisannya adalah : Ping -t ip-address/domain-target. ( Cara penggunaannya sama seperti -l )

Maka si kawan itu wajib dicurgai apakah dia sedang memakai netcut untuk mencuri kuota internet anda/ usil dengan user lainnya.

- Bekerja berdasarkan ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) Spoofing.
Jadi dia mengelabuhi mac adress komputer satu Dengan IP adress Komputer lain.
Misal, komputer A mau komunikasi ke B. Tapi, tiba2 si C mengangu komunikasi. Karena sebelumnya si C sudah sukses melakukan penyusupan di bagian ARP.
Jadi si C bisa suka aja mau diapain tuh data yang sudah di copet. Mau di putus, di sambung semua terserah padanya. - Software netcut ini paling popular di kalangan pengguna internet wifi gratisan.
- Software ini buat sakit hati.
Cara menggunakan Netcut:
- Penggunaan netcut sangat mudah dan simpel.
- Download netcut > install di komputer > Jalankan softwarenya
- Tinggal pilih IP/Hostname/Mac Address client yang ingin diputuskan koneksinya dan mengklik cut off.
- User tersebut akan langsung terputus koneksinya dari server sampai anda membebaskannya atau dengan mengklik Resume atau dia mengganti IP address nya sendiri.
- Kalau kawan merasa sudah diusili seseorang, pertama ganti saja dulu IP adress nya untuk menghindar, kalau boleh ubah kedekat dengan ip server atau gateway untuk mengelabuhinya. Kalau dia tetap mengulah. Telepon semua pasukan geng anda. :)
- Cek ARP untuk mengetahui apakah ada orang yang memakai netcut.
Start menu > run > ketik "cmd" atau command prompt > ketik lagi "arp -a" untuk melihat IP router. Kalau ada lebih dari satu ip router, pertimbangkan niat ber online. Atau lapor saja ke admin tentang hal ini.
Lebih gampang: kawan bisa install program Anti ARP(sayang masih trial version, belum ketemu keygennya) dan jalankan sebelum online. Biar lebih aman. - Hidden komputer dari LAN pake XP antispy
- Bisa juga memakai program seperti "Anti Netcut", namun saya belum yakin apakah akan bekerja.
- Kerjai balik si Pembuat ulah. Banjiri laptopnya dengan ping yang bejibun dan terus menerus. Biar cepat hang sekalian terutama jika RAM nya rendah. Amin.. start menu > run > ketik "cmd" >> ketik lagi "ping google.com -t"
- Lihat muka yang paling tidak berdosa ketika anda baru saja kehilangan koneksi. Razia laptop/ komputernya. Kalau ketahuan, pertimbangkan langkah 1 diatas.
- Yang teraman memang, jangan menggunakan software netcut ini untuk mengusili orang, apalagi misalnya korban sedang serius mengerjakan tugas penting. Kasian. Kalau buat sebatas bercanda mungkin boleh sesekali.

Bagaimana cara mengetahui kecepatan Android 2.1 pada Samsung Galaxy Spica???Salah satu cara untuk mengetahuinya adalah dengan melakukan benchmark menggunakan aplikasi Linpack for Android yang bisa didownload melalui market. Coba lakukan tes dengan mengklik Run Benchmark.
Tulis hasilnya, untuk mengetahui perbedaan setelah nanti kita lakukan modifikasi pada Android 2.1.
Untuk meningkatkan kinerja dari Android 2.1 kali ini kita memanfaatkan Samdroid Turbo yang dikembangkan oleh Antibyte yang diberi nama Frozen Eclair. Informasi detil dari Frozen Eclair ini dapat dibaca di SamdroidForum. Untuk bisa menggunakan Frozen Eclair ini, pastikan Samsung Galaxy Spica kita sudah di root, dan kita sudah mengupdate melalui Samdroid Kitchen v.2 untuk multitouch (disarankan).
Untuk memulainya kita memerlukan file Frozeneclair_7.zip (Frozen Eclair versi 7) yang bisa didownload di SamdroidForum (register terlebih dahulu) atau bisa didownload. Copy file Frozeneclair_7.zip di root memory card.
Seperti biasa, untuk menjalankan file Frozeneclair_7.zip kita masuk ke mode Recovery (tombol volume bawah, tombol dial, dan power ditekan bersamaan). Selanjutnya kita masuk ke Apply any zip from SD, dan pilih file Frozeneclair_7.zip yang telah kita copy tadi, tekan tombol Home untuk melanjutkan dan tunggu hingga proses update selesai. Setelah selesai, reboot system. Jika berhasil maka pada startup awal akan ada tulisan Turbo pada startup logo Samdroid.
Sampai di sini proses update Frozen Eclair sudah selesai. Untuk melihat hasilnya, kita bisa mencoba lagi menjalankan Linpack for Android, dan bandingkan hasilnya dengan tadi sebelum kita update.
Saya sendiri melakukan benchmark dan hasil yang saya peroleh adalah seperti di atas 8,984 (sebelum saya update nilai yang saya peroleh adalah 4,xxx). Dari sini dapat dilihat bahwa kecepatan Android di Samsung Galaxy Spica meningkat 2x lipat.
Efek lain dari update Frozen Eclair ini selain Android berjalan lebih cepat, adalah tingkat konsumsi baterei lebih hemat dibandingkan sebelumnya. Selain itu sistem terasa lebih stabil, karena adanya perbaikan-perbaikan dalam sistem Android sebelumnya. Berdasarkan informasi yang ada, efek samping dari Frozen Eclair ini adalah adanya beberapa aplikasi terutama game yang mungkin tidak bisa dijalankan dengan baik.
Jika kita ingin menghilangkan atau menghapus Frozen Eclair ini, kita bisa melakukan update dengan Samdroid Kitchen v.2 yang telah saya informasikan sebelumnya. Jadi jika kita mengupdate Galaxy Spica kita dengan Samdroid Kitchen v.2 tersebut, otomatis Frozen Eclair yang telah kita install akan terhapus, dan kita harus mengupdate kembali jika kita ingin menggunakannya.
Penting:
